Before You Purchase a Phone Number
Before purchasing a number, keep the following requirements in mind:
Number availability varies: Available countries, number types, capabilities, and area codes depend on provider inventory and local regulations.
Identity verification may be required: If you're purchasing a +1 phone number in an LC Phone-managed sub-account that hasn't completed identity verification, you may be prompted to complete Persona verification using a government-issued ID and live selfie.
International numbers may require regulatory information: Many countries outside the United States and Canada require an approved Regulatory Bundle or Address before a number can be purchased.
Phone numbers have recurring costs: Purchased phone numbers have a monthly rental fee. The applicable rate varies based on the country and number type.
Existing numbers have different processes: If you already own a phone number, you may need to port or import it instead of purchasing a new number.
Tip: Completing any required identity or regulatory verification before purchasing can help prevent delays during setup. What If I Can't Complete the Purchase?
If you find a phone number but cannot successfully purchase it:
Check whether HighLevel is asking you to complete identity verification.
For international numbers, verify that any required Regulatory Bundle or Address has been created and approved.
Confirm that you're attempting to purchase the number from the correct sub-account.
Try searching again in case the selected number is no longer available.
If the issue continues, contact HighLevel Support with the affected sub-account and details of the error you're receiving.
If no numbers appear in your search results at all, broaden your filters, try a nearby area code or another number type, or follow How to Request a Number That's Not Available.
Coverage & Availability
HighLevel has coverage parity with Twilio for supported number types. If you see no results, this reflects provider unavailability for the selected filters (country, type, capabilities). Availability continues to depend on provider inventory and local regulations.

In your sub-account, go to Settings (bottom-left) then select Phone Systems.
Note: If you’re purchasing a +1 phone number in an LC Phone–managed sub-account and the sub-account has not completed identity verification yet, you may be prompted to verify via Persona (government-issued ID + live selfie). Verification is typically one-time per sub-account.
Step 2: Add New Number
Click + Add Number (top-right) then from the drop-down, select Add Phone Number.

Step 3: Select Country and Set Filters
Select a Country from the dropdown. Then click Filters to refine results further on the basis of:

- Capabilities (SMS, MMS, Voice)
- Number Type (Local or Toll Free)

Step 4: Choose a Number
Review the number choices in the list. If you don’t like the options, click Refresh Results to see more options.

Step 5: Complete Purchase
Select the desired number then click Proceed to Buy to complete the transaction.

After Purchasing Your Phone Number
After completing the purchase, verify that the new number has been successfully added to your sub-account.
Go to Settings → Phone Systems.
Confirm that the newly purchased number appears in your phone number list.

Open the number's configuration to review its settings.
Configure the appropriate call routing, forwarding, voicemail, or user assignment based on how you intend to use the number.
Make a test call to the new number from a different phone.
If you'll use the number for messaging, confirm that any applicable registration or verification requirements have been completed before relying on it for SMS.
Important: Purchasing the number makes it available in your sub-account, but additional configuration or registration may be required depending on how you plan to use it.
Regulatory Requirements for International Phone Numbers
A Regulatory Bundle or Address is required when purchasing phone numbers in most countries outside the USA and Canada.
You need to add the required regulatory bundle. You can refer to our guide for detailed instructions here: Regulatory Bundle and Address Creation for Sub-Accounts
