What is the Messaging Ramp Progress Card
Messaging Ramp is a level‑based warm‑up system for text messages sent through LC Phone. The Messaging Ramp Progress Card has an 8-level ramp that provides clarity and actionable insights about SMS messaging limits and progression. You have a daily send limit based on your current level.
By following the card’s instructions and unlocking higher levels, you are able to increase your daily capacity. Outbound sms is temporarily paused for 24 hours after you hit the daily limit at each level, a built‑in safeguard that protects deliverability as you scale.
The Messaging Ramp Progress Card gives users real-time insight into messaging progress and next steps while giving Agency Owners/Admins the ability to track and manage location messaging limits more efficiently. Below is the table which will give you a detailed idea of the ramp:
Note: The Messaging Ramp applies to SMS/MMS sent through LC Phone. It does not govern WhatsApp sending limits.
Key Benefits of the Messaging Ramp Progress Card
- Improved Transparency: No more guessing, users now understand their SMS progression path.
- Empowered Progression: Encourages users to hit sending goals and grow their communication reach.
- Fewer Support Requests: Common questions about limits and lockouts are now addressed within the tool.
Where to Find the Messaging Ramp Progress Card
- From your location, go to Settings → Phone System
- Open the Messaging tab
- Select the Messaging Limit tab

How the Messaging Ramp Works
To increase your limit, you must follow the ramp steps as shown below. Once requirements are met, your SMS limit increases automatically. The card updates to reflect your new level and what’s next. Once you reach Level 8, you’ll see a congratulatory message along with next steps (usually to contact your agency owner/admin for further upgrades).
Important: This ramp will not start on the signup date. It will start on the day when the first successful SMS message is sent.
- All locations start at Level 1, enabling them to send 100 SMS within 24 hours.
- To increase sending limits, the location must send the full level sending limit within a 24-hour window.
- After sending the full level sending limit within 24 hours, the location will be temporarily restricted from sending SMS for the next 24 hours. During this temporary restriction, SMS sending is disabled.
- After the 24 hours, the temporary restriction will be removed. The location will be able to send messages again and the location will unlock the next level sending limit, increasing their sending limit.

Example of the Messaging Ramp Process
This example illustrates how to plan sends over several days to climb levels and increase your sending limit efficiently.
- A new location will start on Level 1 with daily sending limits of 100 SMS.
- To unlock Level 2, the location must send 100 SMS within 24 hours.
- After sending 100 SMS within 24 hours, the location will be temporarily restricted from sending SMS for 24 hours. After 24 hours, SMS sending will be allowed again and you will unlock Level 2 sending limit of 250.
- Then to unlock Level 3, you must send 250 SMS within 24 hours. After sending 250 SMS within 24 hours you will be temporarily restricted from sending SMS for 24 hours. After 24 hours, you will unlock Level 3 sending limit of 500.
- This process of hitting the level sending limit and waiting 24 hours, continues until Level 8, which allows for 3000+ daily SMS sends.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I change or Remove this Ramp Up Model?
No. Previously we had an option for the agency to change the SMS limit within the ramp or post ramp period. That capability has been taken away.
Q: Do one-to-one and Missed Call Text Back SMS count toward my daily limit sending?
Yes. Previously one-to-one messages and Missed Call Text Back messages were not considered as part of the day’s total message, this will be counted henceforth.
Q: Can I send one-to-one messages during the 24-hour temporary sending restriction after reaching my level limit?
One-to-one messages cannot be used when a location was restricted temporarily.
Q: Does the 24‑hour block stop inbound replies?
The block controls outbound after you hit the daily limit. Inbound messages continue.
