What is the Free Caller Registry?
The Free Caller Registry is a centralized platform that allows businesses to submit their phone numbers for review by the three major U.S. providers. These providers determine how your calls are labeled on recipients’ devices. Registering your numbers helps establish your legitimacy and reduce the chances of your calls being marked as “Spam Likely.” The Free Caller Registry is specifically designed for use within the United States and is intended to support U.S. domestic phone numbers.

Phone Numbers to Register:
List the tracking or outbound numbers you want to register. Each number should be in the format +15554443333 (must include country code, no spaces). Also include the Display Name—this is what you want customers to see on their caller ID, such as "ABC Roofing".
Tip: If you’re submitting more than 20 numbers, use the Upload Additional Numbers option.
Business Category:
Under “I believe my calls are…”, select the option that best matches your industry or call intent. This helps analytics providers understand your use case.
Contact & Company Information:
- Contact Name: Full name of the person managing phone systems
- Company Phone: Your main business line
- Email Address: Will be used to send a verification code
Calling Company Details:
Calling Company Name: Your legal business name
Company Address: Full business address (street, city, state, ZIP code)
Company Website (URL): Your main, active business website
Technical Details:

Calls per Month: An estimate of your typical monthly outbound call volume
Optional – Feedback on Incorrect Labeling:
If customers have told you that your number is showing as "Spam Likely" or being blocked, include a brief note in the final optional field. This context can help the analytics teams review your submission more effectively.
What Happens After You Register?
Once you submit your information, each of the analytics providers—Hiya, TNS, and First Orion—will review your registration separately.
Expect to receive confirmation emails within 3–7 business days
Label removal may take time to propagate across all networks
Contact the analytics providers directly if you don't receive a response:
First Orion: FCRrequest@firstorion.com
If Registration Doesn’t Work
If your calls are still being flagged as “Spam Likely” after registration, don’t worry—there are additional steps you can take.
Allow up to 10 business days for full processing across all three analytics providers.
If you don’t receive confirmation emails, follow up directly with the provider:

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How long does registration take?
Usually 3–7 business days. Each provider works independently, so timing may vary.
Q: What if I don’t get a confirmation?
Check your spam/junk folders. If still missing after a week, contact the analytics provider directly.
Q: Will registration guarantee that my number won’t be marked as spam?
Not guaranteed, but it significantly reduces the risk. Consistent and responsible call behavior is also important.
Q: Can I register VoIP or toll-free numbers?
Yes, just ensure the service provider is accurately listed.
Q: Do I need to update my registration?
Yes, if your call patterns or numbers change significantly.
Q: Does this affect SMS spam labels too?
No. This registry only affects voice calls. For SMS, ensure you're registered under A2P 10DLC compliance.
Q: Is the Free Caller Registry available outside the U.S.?
The registry is for U.S.-based numbers. If you're calling into the U.S. from abroad, you can still register those numbers. For other regions, check with your local telecom authority or provider for equivalent solutions.
