When inbound SMS is not coming into HighLevel

Log in to Twilio:


Go to Settings on the left menu or on the top right there's a gear icon --> Click Subaccounts

If there are too many subaccounts inside Twilio, you can go back to HighLevel's agency Settings->Twilio

Copy the Account SIN for that location to search in Twilio:

 Click into the subaccount so you will see there's an orange text on the top left:

Click the three dots icon on the left:

Click Phone Numbers:

Check if it is configured as:

Voice: https://msgsndr.com/twilio/incoming_call

Messaging: https://msgsndr.com/twilio/incoming_message


Voice: https://api.gohighlevel.com/twilio/incoming_call

Messaging: https://api.gohighlevel.com/twilio/incoming_message

Both are fine.

If not, please click the phone number and scroll down to replace the webhook:

Now you can test again to see if incoming SMS will show up in HighLevel.


Verify if the Twilio number has an icon † next to it 
Can send/receive SMS to domestic numbers only


Check if the Twilio number is SMS capable:

Go to Programmable Messaging:


Go to Monitor ->Logs


Paste the phone number you use to text the Twilio number in the From field

If you hover over the records, it will preview the content of the message. What does the status say?
