Modified on: Thu, 22 Oct, 2026 at 9:14 AM

Tablet Mode lets you customize how your HighLevel funnels and websites look on tablets. You can adjust text, spacing, layouts, and element visibility separately from Desktop and Mobile. This guide shows you how to use Tablet Mode, customize your design, and publish your changes.

Key Benefits of Tablet Mode

Tablet Mode helps you create layouts that work better across different screen sizes.

  • Tablet-Specific Styling: Adjust text size, spacing, alignment, and element dimensions for tablets.

  • Independent Visibility: Choose which elements appear on Tablet, Desktop, and Mobile.

  • Easy Preview: Review tablet layouts before publishing.

  • Desktop Style Inheritance: Keep existing desktop styles until you customize them for Tablet.

Prerequisites and Limitations

Before using Tablet Mode, keep these points in mind.

  • Tablet uses desktop styles by default.

  • Settings marked (inherits desktop) share their values with Desktop. Changing these also changes Desktop.

  • Existing pages retain their previous visibility behavior. Elements hidden on Desktop remain hidden on Tablet.

  • New pages support independent visibility settings for each device.

  • Changes appear in preview immediately, but you must republish for the new tablet styling to appear on your live page.

How To Use Tablet Mode

You can access Tablet Mode directly from the Funnel and Website Builder.

  1. From your Sub-Account View, click Sites in the left menu.

  2. Select Funnels or Websites.

  3. Open the funnel or website you want to edit.

  4. Select your page and click Edit.

  5. In the builder, select Tablet from the device switcher.

  6. Click the element you want to customize.

  7. Use the settings in the right sidebar to adjust supported tablet-specific properties, including:

    • Font size and line height

    • Text alignment

    • Padding and margins

    • Spacing between items

    • Width and height

    • FAQ custom options

  8. Click Save when finished.

Show or Hide Elements on Tablet

You can control whether an element appears on Tablet independently from Desktop and Mobile on new pages.

  1. From your Sub-Account View, go to Sites, then select Funnels or Websites.

  2. Open your page and click Edit.

  3. Select the element you want to show or hide.

  4. Open the Styles tab in the right sidebar.

  5. Find the Visibility settings.

  6. Adjust the Tablet visibility option.

  7. Click Save.

Note: Pages created before Tablet Mode retain their previous visibility behavior. Elements hidden on Desktop remain hidden on Tablet.

Preview and Publish Your Changes

Preview your tablet design to make sure everything looks right before publishing.

  1. From your Sub-Account View, go to Sites, then select Funnels or Websites.

  2. Open your page and click Edit.

  3. Select Tablet in the device switcher.

  4. Review your layout and open the page preview.

  5. Click Save, then Publish to update your live page. Complete any additional publishing prompts.

Important: Live pages need to be republished to receive tablet styling. Republishing may also change how your page looks on larger phones because mobile styles now cover more screen sizes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will editing Tablet change my Desktop or Mobile design?

No. Supported tablet-specific styles are independent. However, settings marked (inherits desktop) also affect Desktop when changed.

Q: Can I hide an element only on Tablet?

Yes. New pages support independent visibility settings for Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile. Existing pages retain their previous visibility behavior.

Q: Do I need to republish after changing my tablet design?

Yes. Preview reflects your changes immediately, but your live page needs to be republished to receive the updated tablet styling.
