Keep your branding consistent by managing your logos, colors, fonts, and typography styles in one place. HighLevel Brand Boards let you organize these elements in a Design Kit, making it easier to maintain your brand's visual identity. You can also customize predefined Typography Styles to establish consistent formatting for titles, headings, body text, and more. This guide explains how to edit your Design Kit, customize typography settings, and save your changes.
What is a Design Kit?
A Design Kit is a collection of branding elements stored within a Brand Board in HighLevel. It includes your logos, brand colors, fonts, and predefined typography styles, helping you manage your brand's appearance from one location.
Your saved brand colors and fonts are available in supported HighLevel builders, making it easier to create content that follows your brand guidelines.
The Typography Styles feature also allows you to define specific formatting for different types of text, including font, weight, size, and line height.
Note: Updating your Design Kit does not automatically change the appearance of existing pages or emails. Predefined Typography Styles can be configured in Brand Boards, but direct selection of these styles in builders is planned for a future update.
Understanding Typography Styles
Typography Styles help you establish a consistent text hierarchy by defining how different types of text should appear. Each predefined style has its own font, weight, size, and line-height settings, allowing you to customize your brand's typography to match your design preferences.
Your Design Kit includes eight predefined Typography Styles:
| Typography Style | Intended Use |
|---|---|
| Title | Main titles and prominent text |
| Subtitle | Supporting text beneath titles |
| Heading 1 | Primary headings |
| Heading 2 | Secondary headings |
| Section header | Headings that introduce content sections |
| Quote | Quotations or highlighted statements |
| Body | Paragraphs and general text |
| Caption | Short descriptions and supporting information |
Each style is pre-filled with default settings that you can customize independently.
The available formatting options include:
Font: Choose the font family used for the style.
Weight: Control how bold or light the text appears.
Size: Adjust the size of the text.
Line Height: Set the spacing between lines of text.
Note: These predefined styles help establish your brand's typography settings within the Design Kit. Configuring a style does not automatically apply it to existing content.
How to Edit Your Design Kit
Step 1: Open Your Brand Board
From your HighLevel sub-account, navigate to Marketing > Brand Boards.
Locate the Brand Board you want to update.
Step 2: Update Your Logos
The Logos tab allows you to replace existing brand images so your Design Kit contains your current logos.
In the Design Kit, select the Logos tab.
Locate the logo you want to update.
Click the Edit (pencil) icon next to Logo 1 or Logo 2.
Select or upload the replacement logo.
Note: Replacing a logo in your Design Kit does not delete the original file from your Media Library. To permanently remove an old logo file, delete it directly from the Media Library.
Step 3: Manage Your Brand Colors
The Colors tab lets you maintain your saved brand color palette. You can add, replace, rename, or remove colors to keep your Design Kit aligned with your current branding.
Select the Colors tab in the Design Kit.
Choose the action you want to perform:
Add a color: Click + Add to create another brand color.
Change a color: Click the color square beside an existing color and select a replacement.
Rename a color: Click the color name field and enter a new name.
Remove a color: Click the trash icon beside the color you want to delete.
Note: Updating standard Brand Board colors does not automatically change colors already applied to existing pages or emails. Global Custom Colors have separate synchronization behavior.
Step 4: Add or Change Your Fonts
The Typography tab allows you to manage the font families associated with your Brand Board. Keeping your preferred fonts saved makes them easier to access when creating content in supported builders.
Select the Typography tab in the Design Kit.
Manage your fonts using the available options:
Add a font: Click + Add and select a font.
Change a font: Use the font dropdown to select a different font.
Remove a font: Click the trash icon next to the font you want to delete.
You can store up to five fonts in your Design Kit, and at least one font must remain.
Step 5: Customize Typography Styles
The Styles area within the Typography tab lets you customize the appearance of different text types. Each style can be edited independently, allowing you to create a consistent hierarchy without applying the same formatting to every type of text.
In the Typography tab, locate the Styles area.
Review the eight predefined Typography Styles.
Find the style you want to customize.
Click the Edit icon next to that style.

Step 6: Save Your Changes
Saving your Brand Board preserves the changes you make to its logos, colors, fonts, and typography styles.
Review your updated Design Kit settings.
Click Save Board in the upper-right corner.
Your updated branding settings are now saved in your Brand Board.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do changes to my Design Kit automatically update existing pages or emails?
No. Updating your Design Kit does not automatically change existing pages or emails. You can use the updated brand assets when making future edits in supported builders.
Q: Can I customize each Typography Style separately?
Yes. Each of the eight predefined styles has its own font, weight, size, and line-height settings, allowing you to customize different text types independently.
Q: Can I apply my predefined Typography Styles directly in the Email, Funnel, or Website Builder?
Direct support for selecting the eight predefined Typography Styles in builders is planned for a future update. Saved Brand Board fonts and colors are available in supported builders, but this is separate from applying predefined Typography Styles.
Q: Why aren't my Brand Board colors appearing in a supported builder?
Only the default Brand Board populates the relevant brand color pickers. Make sure the correct Brand Board is set as default and that your changes have been saved. For instructions, see How to Change Default Brand Boards in HighLevel.

No. A Design Kit supports up to five saved fonts, and at least one font is required.
Q: Will replacing a logo in my Design Kit remove the original image from the Media Library?
No. Replacing a logo in your Design Kit does not remove the original file from the Media Library. You must delete the file separately if you no longer need it.
Q: Will updating my Brand Board affect my Payment Links?
If your Payment Links use Brand Board theming, updates to the applicable brand colors can be reflected in those links.
