How to schedule Posts in Bulk on the Social Planner (CSV)

Scheduling social media posts in bulk with the help of a CSV file can be the optimal time-saving technique for scheduling the social journey in advance. CSV is a “comma-separated values” file that allows you to save your information in a structured way.  Social Planner supports both format .csv and .xlxs.

Social Planner provides two different types of CSV Upload options for bulk scheduling

1. Basic CSV - Basic CSV supports Date, Content, OG Meta URL, Image(s) Link, Video(s) Link, GIF

How to schedule CSV-

  1. Navigate to Marketing > Social Planner
  2. Add your social accounts from the Settings (gear icon)
  3. Click New Post > CSV Upload


    4. Choose your upload type:

  • - Basic CSV: Supports post content, date, media, OG link
    - Advanced CSV: Unlocks full capabilities, including: Platform-specific post types (Post, Story, Reel, Shorts), Watermark, tags, categories, follow-up comment, Google Business Profile (post types, call-to-action, events, offers), YouTube (title, privacy, video type), TikTok, LinkedIn PDFs, Pinterest board selection, and more


  • 5.  After uploading, select the socials and configure approval settings

    Note - File specifies the amount of post which are generated after uploading. 

6. Review and correct any flagged errors before import [please read the red marked instructions]


7. Click Import to schedule all approved posts directly into the calendar queue


TIP 


Due to recent changes by Google, we can no longer process Google Drive links in CSV imports. We recommend uploading media to Media Library and using those links in your CSV file instead.


FAQ


What is the number of posts allowed via CSV at one time?

The number of posts allowed in CSV is 90 posts per CSV. You will need to divide that across all the Social outlets you are posting out to.


How can I solve the errors for posts?

Once you click on view posts, it will allow you to review the post with errors.


What is the difference between CSV upload and post composer tag in list view?

Each post in Social Planner can be created with bulk scheduling with CSV and created from blank with post composer.

Can I import tags and category to new location via snapshot?


When importing csv from a snapshot or templatetags and categories will not transfer to a new location.
