How to restore deleted Blog Post?

Modified on: Fri, 8 May, 2026 at 3:20 AM

The new Deleted Blog Recovery Flow gives you complete control over accidentally deleted blog posts inside HighLevel Blogs. Instead of being permanently removed immediately, deleted blogs now move to a recoverable state where they can be restored anytime within 30 days.

This makes blog management safer, faster, and fully self-serve, without needing support assistance.

What is Deleted Blog Recovery?

Deleted Blog Recovery is a new safeguard system inside the Blogs module that allows users to:

  • Recover accidentally deleted blog posts
  • View deleted content in a dedicated Deleted section
  • Restore blogs with a single click
  • Permanently delete blogs when needed
  • Manage deleted content in bulk

Previously, deleted blogs required support intervention for recovery.
With this update, users can now handle recovery directly from the Blog Dashboard.

What’s New

1. Soft Delete Support for Blog Posts

Deleted blog posts are no longer removed permanently right away.

Instead, they move into a Deleted state where they remain recoverable for 30 days.

This helps prevent accidental content loss and gives users flexibility while managing content.

2. New “Deleted” Filter in Blog Dashboard

A dedicated Deleted filter has been added inside Blogs.

From this section, users can:

  • View deleted blog posts
  • Restore deleted blogs
  • Permanently remove blogs
  • Manage deleted content separately from active blogs

This keeps the primary blog dashboard clean while still allowing access to recoverable content.

3. Restore Deleted Blog Posts

Users can restore deleted blogs anytime within the 30-day recovery window.

What happens after restoration?

Once restored, the blog post returns with its previous state intact.

This includes:

  • Blog content
  • Title
  • SEO metadata
  • Images
  • Draft/published state

4. Delete Confirmation Modal

To reduce accidental deletions, users will now see a confirmation modal before deleting any blog post.

This adds an extra safety layer before content moves to the Deleted state.

5. Bulk Delete & Restore Support

Users managing large volumes of content can now perform bulk actions.

Supported bulk actions include:

  • Bulk delete
  • Bulk restore
  • Bulk permanent delete

This significantly improves workflow efficiency for agencies and high-volume publishers.
