You can now configure Taxes and Processing (Miscellaneous) Fees directly for your Services (v2)!
This gives your business more flexibility and control over pricing, taxes, and extra charges applied to calendar bookings.
Processing Fees / Miscellaneous Charges
You can now add Miscellaneous Charges to your Services (v2).
Previously, this option was only available for other checkout flows — but now it extends to Services (v2) too.
✅ What You Can Do
Add one-time service charges, convenience fees, or custom processing fees to calendar bookings.
Keep consistent pricing across all your customer touchpoints.
? Example:
Add a 5% processing fee to every service booking.
Taxes in Services (v2)
You can now set up manual taxes for your Services (v2).
Each service automatically generates an associated product — and by adding tax rates to that product, applicable taxes will be included during checkout.
? How It Works
Each Service (v2) automatically creates a linked product.
Add your tax rate(s) to that product.
Whenever the service is booked, the defined tax rate is applied to the final amount.
? Example: If your local sales tax is 10%, it will automatically be applied to your service’s total price during booking.
How to Configure Taxes and Fees
Follow these steps to set up taxes and fees for your Calendar Services:
Go to Services
Navigate to Services > Edit Service.
Open the Payment Section
Locate and click Configure Taxes for This Service.
Set Up Taxes
You’ll be redirected to the product page linked with this service.
Choose or add your desired tax rate(s).
Click Save.
Done!
Taxes and fees will now automatically appear on your booking page and within the in-app appointment modal.
Notes & Best Practices
Taxes are configured at the product level and automatically apply to all bookings for that service.
If you edit tax rates at the product level, the changes automatically reflect in the linked service.
Taxes and fees appear transparently during booking so customers know exactly what they’re paying.
Example Use Case
Let’s say you run a salon and offer a Haircut Service priced at $50:
You can add a 2% service fee to cover processing costs.
You can also add a 10% tax to the associated product.
When your client books a haircut, they’ll see:
$50 + $1 fee + $5 tax = $56 total.
