The V3 Color Picker in the Funnels and Websites Builder is now available in Labs! This new feature makes choosing and applying colors much easier and gives you more control over how colors appear in your designs. Here’s a simple guide on how to use the new color picker and what it can do for you.
What You Can Do with the New V3 Color Picker
1. Choose Colors More Easily
The new color picker shows all your colors (custom, default, and brand colors) in one simple view. You no longer need to switch between different tabs to find what you need.
You can select from:
Custom colors you’ve saved.
Default colors for quick access.
Brand colors for consistency across your designs.
2. Apply Color to Specific Words or Characters
With the updated inline text editor, you can now apply color to individual words or even individual characters in your text.
This means you can highlight specific words or change the color of just a part of the text, giving you full control over your design's look and feel.
3. Organize and Label Your Colors
You can now name and edit labels for your custom colors.
This helps you keep track of different shades and makes it easy to find them later. For example, you can name your custom red color “Button Red” or “Header Color” so you know exactly where to use it.
4. Get Exact Color Values
The new color picker shows you the exact color values for your custom colors in HEX or RGB format.
This is useful if you want to ensure that your colors are exactly the same across different parts of your funnel or website.
5. Prevent Duplicate Colors
The new color picker prevents you from adding duplicate custom colors, which helps keep your color palette organized.
6. Hover for Tooltips on Custom Colors
When you hover over a custom color, you’ll see a tooltip showing its label. This helps you easily identify similar colors in your palette.
7. Fixes for Inline Text Colors
The new color picker now fixes issues with inline text colors. If you’ve used custom colors in your global sections or templates, they will now transfer correctly to all pages.
Tips for Using the New Color Picker
Consistency is Key: Use brand colors for elements like buttons, headers, and links to maintain a consistent look across your funnel or website.
Label Your Custom Colors: Label your custom colors to avoid confusion and make your workflow smoother.
Use Word or Character-Level Styling: Take advantage of the ability to apply color to specific words or characters for more precise control over your content’s appearance.
