Email AI (Beta 2.0)
Generate on-brand emails in minutes with guided prompts, Brand Board styling, and conversational edits.
Labs Feature

This feature is currently in Labs. To enable it, go to Settings → Labs and toggle Email AI (Beta 2.0) on for the desired sub-accounts.

Overview

Email AI is a guided, brand-aware experience inside the Email Marketing builder that helps you plan, draft, and design emails quickly. It leverages your Brand Board for fonts and colors, recommends layouts, and lets you refine content conversationally — so you can launch emails faster with more control and less rework.

1

Key Benefits

These improvements focus on speed-to-market, brand consistency, and safer iteration — while keeping you in control of copy and layout.

Speed to First Draft

Generate complete, structured emails in minutes.

On-brand By Default

Brand Board colors and typography apply automatically to every generation.

Guided Prompting

Assist Mode helps you craft better prompts with fewer retries.

Reference-Based Generation

Recreate an email you like from a URL or image, then adapt it to your brand.

Smarter Layouts

Improved models produce cleaner sections, CTAs, and responsive structure.

Conversational Editing

Ask AI to rewrite, shorten, translate, or add sections using plain language.

Version Safety

Undo/redo and version history capture every generation for easy rollback.

Less Manual Execution

Spend more time on strategy — not formatting.

2

Limits & Known Behaviors (Beta)

Reference Fidelity

Complex custom code, tracking pixels, or scripts from the reference won't carry over. AI recreates an editable layout instead.

Assets

Replace any sample images with licensed assets and confirm link targets after generation.

Brand Board Changes

Updating your default Brand Board affects future generations only. Previously generated drafts remain unchanged unless edited.

Tip

For pixel-perfect vendor HTML or advanced custom code, import it into the Code Editor first. Then use Email AI in the visual builder to create new branded variations.

3

How To Set Up and Use Email AI

Follow these steps to enable access, prepare your brand styles, and generate your first on-brand draft.

Prerequisites
Email Marketing access — an account with Email Marketing enabled.
Brand Board (recommended) — a configured Brand Board for best styling results.
Labs permissions — appropriate role permissions to enable Labs features (if required in your account).

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is Email AI available to all users or only specific roles?
Availability is managed via Labs by admins. If you don't see Email AI, ask an Agency Admin to enable the Email AI (Beta 2.0) toggle for your sub-account under Settings → Labs.
Q: What types of references work best for "Start from a reference"?
Public preview URLs and clear full-page screenshots (PNG/JPG) yield the best structure. Avoid partial crops or pages with heavy custom scripting.
Q: Will Email AI copy exact HTML/CSS from a referenced email?
No. It recreates an editable layout aligned to your brand. For pixel-perfect reproduction, use the Code Editor import workflow instead.
Q: How does the Brand Board influence the generated email?
Brand colors, typography, and common style tokens apply to headings, body text, buttons, and links. You can override styles in the editor or via AI commands at any time.
Q: Can I translate emails with Email AI?
Yes. Use conversational commands like "Translate to Spanish." Always have a native speaker review translations for nuance before sending.
Q: Where can I access previous versions of a generated email?
Open Version History from the Kebab Menu in the Email Editor to review, compare, and restore earlier generations.
Q: Does changing my default Brand Board restyle existing emails?
No. Brand Board changes affect new generations only. Edit existing templates manually if you want updated branding applied.
Q: What's the difference between Email AI and AI in Workflows?
Email AI lives in Email Marketing → Templates/Editor and is designed for creating and designing full email messages. Workflow AI generates copy inside automation steps (Send Email action) and operates in a different context with different capabilities.
