This article explains how admins can reassign CRM contacts linked to affiliates when duplicate contact records exist with the same email across different products.
Overview
In some cases, multiple CRM contacts with the same email address may exist across different HighLevel products, including Affiliate Manager. When this happens, an affiliate may be linked to an incorrect contact record.
Admins can now reassign the affiliate to the correct CRM contact, ensuring accurate attribution, reporting, and automation behavior.
When Should You Use This Feature?
You should use contact reassignment when:
Multiple CRM contacts exist with the same email address
An affiliate is linked to the wrong CRM contact
Reporting, attribution, or workflows are impacted due to incorrect contact linkage
How to Reassign a CRM Contact for an Affiliate
Step 1: Access Affiliate Management
Navigate to Affiliate Manager in your HighLevel account
Select the affiliate whose contact needs to be reassigned

Step 2: Identify Duplicate Contact Records
If multiple CRM contacts with the same email exist across products, you’ll see an option to resolve the conflict
The system will surface available CRM contact records tied to that email
Step 3: Select the Correct CRM Contact
Review the list of available CRM contacts
Select the correct source CRM contact that should be linked to the affiliate
Confirm the reassignment
⚠️ Guardrails are in place to prevent broken links or inconsistent mappings during this process.
Step 4: Confirm Successful Reassignment
Once confirmed:
The affiliate will be linked to the selected CRM contact
Reporting and tracking will automatically reflect the updated linkage
Downstream workflows will continue using the correct contact record
Important Notes
This feature currently supports scenarios where duplicate CRM contacts share the same email ID
Bulk reassignment is not supported at this time
Future enhancements may include advanced and bulk management options
