The redesigned Bulk Email Builder inside HighLevel’s Contacts screen provides a modern, unified experience for creating and sending bulk emails. With built-in pre-send contact filtering, a streamlined design workflow, and powerful tracking tools, you can confidently send personalized messages at scale — without technical complexity.

What is the Bulk Email Builder?

The Bulk Email Builder is the enhanced email creation interface that appears when you select Send Email within the Contacts → Smart Lists section. It unifies all three of HighLevel’s email editing options — Quick Compose, Smart Builder, and Template Selection — into one seamless flow.

This experience simplifies how you design, personalize, and deliver your email campaigns while ensuring invalid or unsubscribed contacts are filtered out automatically for compliance and deliverability.

Dynamic Custom Object Labels (New)

The Bulk Email Builder now uses dynamic custom object labels instead of hardcoded “Contact” or “Contacts” text. This ensures the Bulk Email modal automatically reflects the object label configured in your account, such as Leads, Clients, or another custom object.

Why this matters

  • Keeps the Bulk Email experience consistent with your CRM configuration

  • Supports accounts that rename or replace the default Contact object

  • Improves clarity when working with custom objects

  • No setup or action required — labels update automatically

Where you’ll see this

  • In the Bulk Email modal header and helper text when sending emails via:

Contacts → Smart Lists → Bulk Actions → Send Email

This update only affects displayed labels. Bulk Email functionality, recipient selection, filtering, and delivery behavior remain unchanged.

Key Benefits of the New Bulk Email Builder

The new Bulk Email Builder introduces several enhancements designed to improve usability, accuracy, and performance monitoring.

  • Unified workflow: All email creation options (Quick Compose, Smart Builder, Templates) are accessible in one place.

  • Pre-send filtering: Automatically excludes invalid and unsubscribed contacts before sending.

  • Consistent experience: All builders share similar layouts, making onboarding easier for teams.

  • Advanced tracking: Enable link tracking, UTM tagging, and automation tags directly in the editor.

  • Reliable delivery metrics: Access standardized reports and stats across all email sources (Contacts, Campaigns, and Workflows).

  • Unified composer: Matches Campaigns and Workflows for a consistent email-building experience.

Pre-Send Contact Filtering

Pre-send contact filtering ensures only valid recipients receive your message.

HighLevel automatically reviews your selected contacts and displays a summary that shows:

  • Total contacts selected

  • Filtered contacts (invalid or unsubscribed)

  • Final recipient list

This feature helps protect your sender reputation and improves email deliverability.

Email Creation Modes

The Bulk Email Builder offers three flexible creation modes to match your workflow and design preferences.
