Canceling your HighLevel subscription impacts your Agency account and all associated sub-accounts, including access to important data and features.
HighLevel retains canceled account data for 90 days after cancellation. During this retention period, you can reactivate your account to regain access and keep your data.
However, some services—such as phone numbers and A2P registrations—follow a shorter timeline and are deleted 14 days after cancellation.
This article explains what happens after cancellation, how long your data is retained, what you should save before canceling, and the options available if you want to reactivate, pause, or request earlier deletion.

What Happens Immediately After Cancellation?
After cancellation, all of your sub-accounts will lose access to the following:
| Feature or Data | What Happens After Cancellation |
|---|---|
| Contacts | All saved contact data will no longer be accessible. |
| Conversations | Ongoing and past conversations will no longer be accessible. |
| Calendars | Any scheduled events and appointments will no longer be accessible. |
| Automations | Workflows and automations will stop functioning. |
| Funnels | All funnels and related data will no longer be accessible. |
| Phone Numbers and A2P | Phone numbers and A2P registrations will be deleted 14 days after cancellation. You will continue to be charged for them during this 14-day period. After 14 days, the phone numbers will be permanently deleted. |
| Add-ons / Reselling Subscriptions | When your company's HighLevel (GHL) subscription is canceled, any associated add-on subscriptions will also be automatically canceled. Access to these add-ons and related features may no longer be available once the subscription ends. |
Important: Losing access to your account does not mean that all account data is immediately deleted. Most canceled account data is retained for 90 days, as explained below.
Phone Numbers and A2P Registrations
Phone numbers and A2P registrations follow a different timeline from the general 90-day account data retention period.
Your phone numbers and A2P registrations will be deleted 14 days after cancellation.
During those 14 days:
Your phone numbers and A2P registrations have not yet been deleted.
You will continue to be charged for the phone numbers.
After the 14-day period, the phone numbers will be permanently deleted.
Important: Do not assume your phone numbers will remain available for the full 90-day account retention period. Their deletion timeline is 14 days after cancellation.
Data Retention and Account Deletion
HighLevel keeps canceled account data for 90 days after cancellation.
During this 90-day period, you can reactivate your account to regain access and retain your data.
If your account is not reactivated within 90 days, your:
Agency account
Sub-accounts
Associated account data
will be permanently deleted.
Cancellation Timeline
| Timeline | What Happens |
|---|---|
| After cancellation | Your sub-accounts lose access to the data and features listed above. Workflows and automations stop functioning. |
| Within the first 14 days | Phone numbers and A2P registrations remain pending deletion, and you continue to be charged for your phone numbers. |
| After 14 days | Phone numbers and A2P registrations are deleted. Phone numbers are permanently deleted. |
| During the 90-day retention period | HighLevel retains canceled account data, and you can reactivate your account to regain access and retain your data. |
| After 90 days without reactivation | Your Agency account, sub-accounts, and associated data are permanently deleted. |
Reminder Emails Before Permanent Deletion
HighLevel sends automated reminder emails before your account reaches permanent deletion.
These emails are sent from: customercare+gohighlevel.com@mailbox.gohighlevel.com
You may receive the following notifications:
“Your HighLevel account will be deleted in 60 days”
“Your HighLevel account will be deleted in 30 days”
“Final Notice: Your HighLevel account will be deleted in 5 days”
These reminders give you an opportunity to reactivate your account before the 90-day retention period ends.
Permanent Deletion Is Irreversible
HighLevel cannot restore deleted Agency accounts, sub-accounts, or account data after the 90-day retention period.
HighLevel does not maintain backups of purged account data, and HighLevel teams cannot override or reverse the deletion process.
If you prefer to have your data deleted sooner, you can submit a request using the Data Deletion Request Form.
Important: Once an account is permanently deleted, the process is final and cannot be reversed.
Before You Cancel
Before canceling your HighLevel subscription, export or download any important data you want to keep.
This may include:
Contacts
Conversations
Calendars and appointments
Funnels and websites
Automations
Invoices, payments, orders, and transactions
Products
Memberships and courses
Reports, audit logs, and other account assets
Important: Once your account is permanently deleted or purged after 90 days, this data cannot be recovered.
