{{adset.name}}

Campaign Name

{{campaign.name}}

Campaign Content

{{ad.name}}

Custom Parameter

campaign_id

{{campaign.id}}

Once the ad attribution setup is done, the parameter preview should look like below.

utm_source=facebook&utm_medium={{adset.name}}&utm_campaign={{campaign.name}}&utm_content={{ad.name}}&campaign_id={{campaign.id}}

Points to note:

  • These name based URL parameters can’t be changed during the lifetime of the campaign / adset / ad.
  • If the name has to be changed, then create a different campaign / adset / ad.
  • If you still change them on the same campaign / adset / ad, then data on HighLevel will keep referring to the first campaign / adset / ad, as the URL parameters don't change after initial setup
  • Facebook will not add the UTM parameters to your links when you are viewing your ad as a preview
  • Don't use any special characters or emojis in the UTM parameters or any parameter that needs to be tracked
  • First attribution data will be available for contacts coming from following entry points, in other cases, the first attribution data will be empty
    • Form submissions
    • Survey submissions
    • Calendar
    • Directly coming from Facebook Lead From
    • Two step order form
    • Chat widget
    • Inbounding Calls (won't work if leads call the number pool directly, but only for the click-to-call scenarios)
